Chicken Whole Leg Without Skin

Description:
Traditional whole chicken leg marinated in yogurt and spices, roasted in a tandoor or oven for smoky, charred perfection.

Ingredients (Serves 4):

  • 4 chicken whole legs

  • 1 cup thick yogurt

  • 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste

  • 1 tbsp red chili powder

  • 1 tsp turmeric

  • 1 tsp cumin powder

  • 1 tsp coriander powder

  • 1 tsp garam masala

  • 2 tbsp lemon juice

  • Salt to taste

  • 2 tbsp mustard oil

Steps:

  1. Make deep cuts in chicken legs for marinade absorption.

  2. Mix yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, spices, lemon juice, and mustard oil. Coat chicken well. Marinate for 3–4 hours.

  3. Roast in a preheated oven at 200°C for 25–30 minutes, flipping halfway.

  4. Baste with butter for extra richness.

Serving Suggestion:
Serve hot with mint chutney, lemon wedges, and onion rings.
